Dead Poet Salon and Open Mic: William McGonagall
30th March, 7.30pm. £5
Our monthly poetry evening in March is, perhaps unadvisedly focussing on the life and work of William McGonagall, widely known as “the worst poet in the English language”, certainly he has quite a following as such, and his rhyming (but not much else) poetry has been championed by many, including fellow Scot, Billy Connelly, as some of the most unintentionally amusing ever written. Is there more to this oft derided but much enjoyed poet? Come along and find out!
After refreshing our glasses, the second part of the evening will be opened to the floor for our popular and always varied open mic.
Seats are limited, please let us know if you are coming.
£5 on the door.
